Bangalore's Very Own Street Painter

Sagar Rao,

Arignaranna Govt school

Who, wouldn’t love to study in a school whose walls are etched with colours?

Or find dry public spaces interspersed with creative art that will make you snap out of your daydream?

Well, if you stumble upon such works on the streets of Bengaluru, chances are that it could be the work of The Happy Wall Project.

More than 100 walls in public spaces, schools, cafes, gyms, homes and even railway stations have been splashed with hues and shades by the project up till now.

Well, this has happened all thanks to Divya Ramachandran, a 29-year-old teacher at Srishti School of Art Design and Technology in Bengaluru.

But of all the works she had done, Divya has found painting the walls of underprivileged schools most uplifting, after noticing her work, she was approached by Teach For India foundation and thus began a journey touching the lives of many schoolchildren in Chennai.
